Willtell is right- Hamilton is actually one of the few who would have been at home racing before the technology became all encompassing.
Him, Verstappen and Alonso I'd say would fare best out of the modern crop. They just have the innate feel for the car and the grip- usually manifested by being excellent in the rain. Rosberg was a good example drive by computer/instruction/data guy.

Well Hamilton is going to be top three if not top in just about every stat going by the time he retires. Undoubtedly one of the best who has ever got behind the wheel and almost certainly the best British driver of all time, although there's a strong argument for Jim Clark. Realistically trying to compare drivers from different eras and say one is better than the other is impossible really.
